Volume 1, No. 1

Harvest

one bite into the pear means
Revelation: cool bits of fruit flesh
appear under curls of rind

persimmon juiced no pulp
only petunia—petulant and needy—
pulls away

Sweet Need
Tender Build
Rounded Stature
off an old tree

earth dirt between roots

a comfort away from glamour

shift into the chill season
grove orchard stand basket:
dwindle down slower grown

core an apple
split a grape
pitted seeded fed
